Terms & Conditions

The rules for using Drop. By using it, you agree to these.

Last updated: July 18, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating or joining a network on Drop, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

Drop is a personal network drive and device-aware messaging platform that lets the devices you own send messages and share files within a private network identified by a name and a master PIN. The service is provided on an ongoing basis and may evolve over time.

3. Networks, PINs, and devices

  • Your network is protected by the name and master PIN you choose. Anyone who has both can join, so you are responsible for keeping them private.
  • You are responsible for the devices you add and for approving new devices from a device you already trust.
  • You should promptly remove devices you no longer control, and you are responsible for activity that occurs on your network.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Drop to:

  • Break the law or infringe the rights of others, including intellectual-property and privacy rights.
  • Upload or share malware, or content that is unlawful, harmful, or abusive.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other networks, devices, or the service's infrastructure.
  • Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the service or the experience of other users.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the messages and files you share through Drop. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, transmit, and display that content to the devices on your network so the service can function. You are solely responsible for the content you share and for having the right to share it.

6. Third-party integrations

If you connect a third-party service such as Google Drive, your use of that service is also governed by its own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your connection to them is at your own discretion.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Drop available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the service, at any time.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Drop and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or content, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service.

10. Termination

You may stop using Drop and delete your network at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe is necessary to protect the service or its users.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.

12. Contact
